Cheesecake Factory

We all love going to places that serve dessert, because dessert is often the best part of the entire meal, right?  Whether we go out for coffee and cake, or save room from our meal just to enjoy a delicious chocolate brownie, it's a important part of how we and our stomachs work.  

One of the best places to get a good slice of heaven for dessert is the Cheesecake Factory, a popular restaurant chain that prides itself in offering the best variety and taste in various kinds of cheesecakes and other decadent desserts.  It is a successful restaurant chain with plenty of satisfied customers who enjoy their time there.

            The Cheesecake Factory started out a long time before the actual restaurant came about.  It started, as the best things always do, with one woman's dream to make herself a business.  Evelyn Overton first came up with the initial idea when she found herself in huge demand due to the divine and delicious cheesecake recipe that she had created.  Since it was so popular amongst her friends and family, she made the decision to open a small cheesecake shop so that everyone could get a taste of this delicious treat.  This didn't last long, however, as she gave up her cheesecake dream in order to raise her two children in the 1940s.

            By the time the 1970s rolled around, however, her children were grown, and Evelyn started thinking about the idea of her cheesecake shop again.  Her recipe was still in high demand and she felt a calling to follow that calling all the way to Los Angeles, where she had her husband put their life savings into opening a small business called The Cheesecake Factory Bakery, where they would reach out to local restaurants and sell their cheesecake through them.  As you can probably imagine, it was a hit, and before long, Evelyn was up to her ears in cheesecake, making up to 20 different kinds and experimenting in order desserts, too.

            Their company was a success, and one of their sons, David, decided that it would be a smart idea to open up a Cheesecake Factory restaurant in Beverly Hills that used his mother's recipes solely for the purpose of giving those who were interested a place to go to enjoy some decadent desserts.  This is what we now know today as The Cheesecake Factory, and it is a much loved hit around the country.  It's safe to say, then, that Evelyn's to-die-for recipe was a success, yes?

            Today, The Cheesecake Factory is a popular spot for vacationers and locals alike that want to get together and have a chat, or work on a business plan while enjoying a delicate dessert.  It's a place to go and get comfortable with some great tastes to enjoy and experiment.  It is successful business that all started with one woman's fantastic recipe and the drive to bring it to the public for them to enjoy.  It's come a long way, but never lost that original recipe that made it into the success that it is.
          
  As far as the menu goes, The Cheesecake Factory as made itself bigger and more diverse so that they can include a lunch and dessert combo, for those who are looking for something to start them off before they enjoy their dessert.  With everything from pizza to salad, you can get a great meal before gorging yourself on dessert.

            With a comfortable interior that is designed to make everyone feel at home, The Cheesecake Factory restaurant chain has worked hard at making sure that everyone feels welcome and totally at ease while enjoying their time at the restaurant.  The atmosphere is light and chatter can be heard throughout the restaurant while still being able to hear your companion.  The staff are friendly and fully informed on all recipes to make sure that every guest is given all of the information about the different deals and foods to try. 

            Moving to include lunch foods into their menu was something that happened not too long ago in an effort to make those looking for a good lunch spot come through the doors.  The goal was to get them to come for the food and stay for the cheesecake, turning them into regulars the instant they got a taste of what made this restaurant so popular in the first place.  This plan is working well, though there are some who feel as though the added lunch menu takes away from the plan that Evelyn had wanted for her small bakery – to share her cheesecake. 

The thing is, though, the only goal that Evelyn had was to make sure that she got her cheesecake to all of those who wanted it.  As far as we can tell, her cheesecake is still a huge seller and is making as much money has it always has been even with all of the competition out there on the menu, not to mention the other dessert shops and bakeries that exist out there, today.

            Offering reasonable prices for fantastic meals and desserts, anyone can get a look at Evelyn's original dream for The Cheesecake Factory by taking a look (and taste) at all of the different kinds of cheesecake that exist within this restaurant.  

A lot of them were variations that she brought to the restaurant with her when her son opened that first restaurant years ago, and some are created by the people who have come since and found her story and cheesecake recipe inspirational.  However you want to look at it, The Cheesecake Factory is a total success, from it's false start in the 1940s to its real start in the 1970s to the much loved and talked about restaurant that we all know and love today.
